There’s a joy for us in working with something old and repurposing it into something new.

Originally built as two homes for brothers and their families, this home was heavily damaged by the Christchurch earthquakes. Our client purchased the ‘as is, where is’ house with the intention of making it into their dream home.

The conversion involved significant structural upgrades to the house and rethinking and repurposing spaces to make the home functional and flow as it should.

Being built in the 1990’s, this home had many non-compliant factors to be overcome. By creating alternative solutions to achieve building compliance, we were able to provide our clients with a modernised home that made the most of the existing structure without being hindered by building regulations.
