Modern country home in Lincoln
The aim of this home was to provide a relaxing retreat from the outside world.
As it is located in a new subdivision without established trees or fences for privacy, a “defensive” street frontage was designed to create a protected barrier from the street and neighbours. Upon entry, the house opens up to stunning views of farmland beyond.
The house is divided into two wings separated at the entry, one for the master suite, living, and entertainment areas and the other for guests and family to visit. The front of the house is fortified with stone and limited windows to maintain privacy. The restrained color palette outside contrasts with neighbouring homes, whilst the interior palette provides the perfect background for showcasing the clients’ treasures and memories.
Entertaining is important, so an outdoor room was created to be enjoyed year-round. This space boasts a gas fire, louvred roof, and glazing all around to protect from the elements. Wings were created to shelter the property from prevailing winds, and the central focus is the pool, accessible from the living spaces and pool room.
His and Hers garaging reduces the overall impact of a large garage by breaking it into two separate garages. A hidden spa accessed via the master ensuite is shielded from neighbors by the stone wall that wraps around the frontage of the house.
The home features a series of outdoor spaces designed to suit the weather and allow for flexibility in enjoying the sun or seeking shelter from it. Overall, the home strikes the perfect balance between privacy, comfort, and entertainment.
Masterfully built by GMAC Builders, we are very proud of this home and the love, care and attention it received from those involved.
